60 minutes done!

So pleased that I managed to run for 60 minutes this morning after putting it off for two weeks due to half term, too hot, too much holiday traffic, too tired…..

Quite warm today but foggy so not too hot. Still can’t imagine running 10k though.

It’s great when you get that first 60 minute run under your belt! Well done, that’s 60 Whole Minutes! Think about what an amazing achievement that is. 👏👏👏👍🏃‍♀️

You’re already running halfway between 5K and 10K! Just gradually extend that 60 minutes running and 10K will just happen 😊👍

Thanks - would you then follow the magic distance plan or continue to add 5 minutes onto the longer run every week or two?

I didn’t follow the magic plan - but yes, I added 5-10 minutes on my ‘long run’ (which I did at the weekend) until, as if by magic, I got to 10K! 😊

Useful to know Jools! I may stick at 60 minutes for a few weeks and investigate some different routes. Then go for extending the time each week 😊

That’s a good idea to consolidate at 60 minutes for a few weeks. That can only be beneficial to your stamina and endurance - plus it will be fun to investigate different routes! This way, you will be more than up to the task of extending the time each week when you are ready to. 👍😊

Congratulations on running non stop for 60 minutes, well done, you can gradually get to 10K by increasing by 1 Kilometre a week or do Ju Ju's Magic 10 plan, if you wish to see the words 60minGraduate next to your username tell the administrators that you have ran for the first time for 60 minutes, one whole hour without stopping or walking. 😊 🏃🏾
