After a busy week (well busy half term in fact!) and running both Saturday and Sunday and catching up on lots of housework I wasn’t sure if I would feel up to running 10k today! But I had to...it is the anniversary of my first 10k!
Very warm so an early start again but even at 7.30 the sun was hot🥵. Luckily the route down the old railway line is quite shady in places and there was a bit of a breeze which helped. Had a slight interval/detour to throw Squiggy in the river (somehow he managed to get dog 💩 on his neck and harness - yuk!!). Anyway, back to the track and carried on to the next village and took a higher lane back. Usually no traffic but today I had to stop and squeeze into the hedge as a police car, another car and a van with a boat on a trailer went past! I plodded on- too warm for me, and Squiggy and eventually got back home. Not quite 10k but over 11k with the ‘warm up’ walk.
Hoping to do a few more runs this week, in between report writing and seeing family, but definitely need to start earlier!
Hope everyone enjoyed the sunny BH 😊☀️
