Hollywood cop chases

Whilst shuffling along for my 6am plod, I was musing the action sequences in films where cops and baddies are hurtling around at breakneck speed whilst running, scrambling over 8ft fences and leaping over car bonnets, never out of breath in a 10 minute sequence.

I know I'm a slow runner, but...😉

I bet lots of those actors are mighty glad to hear the director shout “Cut!” after running for twenty yards.

Don't forget crashing cars through stacks of empty cardboard boxes.

🤣🤣 I was thinking similar yesterday as I was being an aeroplane/bird being chased by / chasing toddler hugs. Those sudden bursts of energy are exhausting. I bet it makes the film stars get it right on the first take🤣 back to my happy speed on my morning run this morning. Happy running 🤗

I bet they don't do them all in one take :DI normally wonder if there were to be some sort of disaster movie type thing in my life whether I would be able and strong enough to get everybody out or whether I would be one of the ones they're trying to save :D

It's all in the training. Like C25K little by little. Maybe start by jumping on one car bonnet per run and a very low fence .

Increase number of bonnets every second run and fence height by 10% per week.

Don't forget to either apologise to car owners or run away fast after the bonnet bounce.

I’ll add this to my morning routine. Do you think I should use moving cars straight away or start with stationary?

I'd start by jumping over stationery lol

Maybe a Matchbox car or, if you're feeling really brave, a Tonka Truck.

I would suggest stationary unless you have very good reaction times.
