Yeah we did but went to bank for work this morning and saw a couple of runners on Worthing seafront, they were leaning into the wind and going very slow

How can anyone in Worthing run on the seafront in a storm force 10 ๐Ÿƒ wind, they certainly have the running bug ๐Ÿ›

They did look strange leaning into the wind

In Southsea I only saw runners with the wind behind them, going like the clappers. Probably had cars at the other end!

I must admit I did think about that as an option. For about one second. ๐Ÿ˜‚

My PB was exactly that, a few months ago. It is exhilarating but does require a non running driver or two cars .

I have had someone drop me off and then run back once but it wasnโ€™t nearly as windy. No PB though but a nice easy run nonetheless. ๐Ÿ‘

I'm planning to be driven to Worthing on Monday or Tuesday to do that ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

Let me know if you need a pacemaker ๐Ÿ˜€

They were mighty brave to be out in that today. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

No, but only because today was a rest day. That said, I did go out and do 10k during Storm Francis last year, so I'm probably not the best person to comment.

๐Ÿ˜… that was seriously brave too!

It wasn't as bad up here and it was pretty much the tail end of it but definitely one of my madder runs.

Gone with the wind?!!

Nope. Tomorrow is another day.

I did go out in Manchester for w6r1, it has been wet for several of my runs but today was the worst yet with the wind added in! Very pleased I did it though.

I got it out of the way yesterday morning, finishing about 15 minutes before the rains hit. Tomorrow looks OK.

Very wise. The weather tomorrow looks to be better thankfully.

I retreated to the safety and boredom of the dreadmill yesterday, and today is even blowier in not-so-sunny Southsea. But given the electronic assistance, I managed a sub-40 8k, so even these clouds have a silvery lining ..... ๐Ÿ˜€

Well done on that sub 40 8k UTS ๐Ÿ‘ youโ€™re on a run of good form at the moment.

No way BrianUK! Our pier and seafront looked the same as yours! Dexy5 and I had a very short walk along the prom and gave it up as a bad job! Hopefully tomorrow will be better - and safer!

I also tried a walk today and it was really tricky along the front at times. Better weather tomorrow thankfully.

No, I took my son out to a farm park though and watched wallabies locomote.

I went out down the lagoon end but it was like being sandpapered by grit! Maybe I'll see you on the front sometime!

Oh my, another Brighton and Hove runner ๐Ÿ˜€ We should start a local HU VRB running group ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Guilty mโ€™lud. Oldgirlruns and I managed a walk in it but over 50 mph. It would have been great to run west to east and get picked up in a car, but I was suffering a slight hangover from the night before.

I expect it helped a little with the hangover?

My daughterโ€™s partner ran Friday morning (I think he said 12k) in Hove, partly along the seafront!!! I just said no (in wet and windy Wales) ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

I'm inland (North Bristol) so the weather wasn't so extreme. Plan called for a run on Friday and Saturday so I didn't have much choice. Was really glad that I wore my running jacket (got soaking wet anyway but it helped reduce wind chill). Was kind of windy on the hilltops.

Iโ€™m just along the coast in East Preston, Having struggled to open my car door to drive to work yesterday morning , think I made the right decision to postpone my first post graduation run till this morning. Just finishing my coffee and out with my first try of the Zombie Run App. Decided to do 30 mins rather than 5k as been up a few hours already and off to Knockhatch to hang out with the Meerkats a little later! Have a great weekend ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

I wasnโ€™t due to run yesterday as I was saving myself for (not) Parkrun this morning on the Isle of Skye. Currently drinking a cup of tea, watching the trees whipping about and the rain streaming down the campervan windows. I think Iโ€™ll stay here!

It was pretty โ€˜bracingโ€™ in north Wales too! Got really fed up being stuck in the caravan so we went to the promenade in Pwllheli and got soaked doing 6k. Thought of Dexy and UTS doing this each week! Definitely โ€˜interestingโ€™ running conditions. Alas, weโ€™ve given up on the holiday ๐Ÿ˜ข

It does look as though next week will be better ar y Pen Llลทn.

Of course! Unfortunately we didnโ€™t have much choice. Very annoying.
