Hi all, I completed C25k back in March and hopefully this weekend will hit 10k for my long run. I'm assuming it is wise to go through another period of consolidation again? At the moment doing 2/3 5ks a week (pending how things fall as I run every other day) with the longer run at the weekend.
So a few weeks of doing the above with the weekend 10k?

See how you feel, but yes, you should acclimatise to the distance before pressing on. See how hard it feels before deciding how long you want/ need to stay at 10k.
I increased my other Runs slightly and kept the 10k for a while, depends on time constraints I guess but I kept weekend as long run and was doing a 7,10 then, long run at W/E.
I was thinking of increasing the other runs eventually, which is what I will probably do after a bit of regular weekend 10ks bring up my 5ks by a k or two during the week.
That sounds very familiar to what I did, after JuJu's magic plan I did 2 or 3 5ks a week (mainly due to time available) with a 10k at the weekend until this was comfortable. Then I increased the long run by a mile every couple of weeks, until I reached 10 miles. Well done, in advance, on your 10k an make sure you enjoy and celebrate the achievement 👏
I run 10 miles about 1 week in 4 now, mostly my long runs are 7,8 or 9 miles *(8 is my favourite distance) but I've also done an 18.5k and one half marathon. Hoping to build up to another HM by end of June. One thing I have learned is not to overdo it.
