Sunny run along the river Ouse 😎

Beautiful morning for a run, left the house at 6:38am, cool nip in the air - temp says 6oC. Today I decide to run along the river Ouse into York. Good choice as the sun is shining brightly and the water was clear and still like a mirror, the trees along the river offer some shade from the heat that’s already building up....goodness knows how I’ll cope in the summer heat!

I see lots of other cheerful runners, dog walkers and a few people walking into work, I see 3 women in Kayaks on the river gently floating along in the sunshine, they chat easily and are laughing often.

A thoroughly enjoyable 8k today, total run time was 60 minutes exactly, so my pace is improving along with my distance.

8k!! Brilliant woman! Yes I’m ok. Consolidating at 35 mins , 3 times per week which feels good. I bought my shoes online during lockdown and have known they weren’t right so I had a gait analysis done today and walked away in some ASICS stability trainers which feel better already. The are a very serene old lady lilac which suits my pace and mood at the mo x

Ah nice! Really pleased to hear you got the gait analysis done, it made a huge difference to me after I got some properly fitted trainers - nothing wrong with lilac at all! A perfectly lovely colour. Well done on the consolidation runs... if it feels right, it usually is! x
