Hi, sorry I haven't posted for a long time, but I do read the forum most days.
At the end of the month I will be 75, and wanted to celebrate it by running a HM. I started C25K nearly three years ago. Along the way I have had time on the IC, for various injuries and a hernia operation, but always got back "in the saddle" when time allowed. As I have already said I wanted to do a HM, but something always seems to prevent me from achieving my goal, this time various niggles, nothing serious, but still needing time off on the IC to heal. Plan B. maybe I could achieve 16.1K or 10 miles in time for my birthday, and today I am proud to announce I did it. The time is not fast but it doesn't matter, I did it. So I would like to thank everyone on the forum for their stories, advice, input etc., to help us all achieve our goals, and maybe one day I will be posting that I have done the elusive HM!
THANK YOU

Thank you, looking forward to a three day break for my birthday, with sea views from the cliff tops in Cromer, and maybe even a 5K along them and on the beach🤗
I thought about that nearing the finish, but I learnt the hard way during my journey along C25k with various injuries etc., so gently does it, consolidate with this then maybe........,,. Thank you
Ah what a lovely big smile john46! I’m so pleased for you. I hope you treat yourself this evening, which is more than well deserved. Well done! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️👍👍👍
Oh huge congratulations 🍾🎊🎈 what a great distance well done and who cares how fast or slow? I did my first 10k last year in 1hr 43 mins and was jumping for joy for days You look really happy, wishing you strong legs forever
