“I’ll be back” (German accent)

... and I was! With my German accent, even!

After my unfortunate break from running, due to a panic filled encounter with a dental surgeon, a goodbye to a cracked tooth, and a week of managing pain with ibuprofens, anaesthetics and yogic breathing, I am fully back!

So right on the first day I was ‘allowed’ to run again, I donned my gear not quite knowing if I was up for it. But with my gear on, I knew I couldn’t let the opportunity pass, so off I went to my old 4.5k route, allowing myself the possibility of cutting this to 3k.

But, no need. The bounce 🎾 was there right from the start, my knees did feel a bit vulnerable at first but it quickly disappeared as I warmed up.

Weather was fresh 🌦, looking like it would drizzle but it didn’t, so perfect for a Sunday morning.

Ran with Zombies 🧟‍♀️ , and Runkeeper’s Boston Fan Coach, who offered me beer 🍺!

On this route it was the 3rd fastest run of ca 20, so not too bad. It felt so good I couldn’t even get myself to stop to take a picture📸, therefore the shaky image which is supposed to express my dynamic return to the running world! 😂😂😂

Happy running everyone!

There's a bunch of Germans at the door wanting to have a word with you. Arnie is originally from Austria. 🤣

Waving from the IC (just resting a few days).

On no, IC! 😱 did this happen after your long run last time! Sending you patience and healing warmth for your legs! 🦵🤕🛋💛

It's a short self-imposed rest, as advised by everyone here. I had a pulling sensation in the groin area after a run the week before last. I've been cutting back on the runs but the sensation would reappear about 10 minutes in, usually after I'd done a little uphill section. I'm doing four days of rest and stretches to see if that will give it time to settle down. I'll do a short run tomorrow to test things out. If the sensation is still there I'll be phoning for a physio check.

Ah well done! Life does throw stuff at us doesn’t it. I cracked a tooth running a while back - don’t ask 😆. Love the photo, that’s how my eyesight is without glasses! And how lovely to have that bounce. 😊👏🏼🏃‍♀️🦶🏃‍♂️👍

Ouch! Sounds painful 😖 ! And yes, bounce is hopefully here to stay. My leg muscles probably benefitted from a one week break! 🙏👍🏽🏃‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️
