My little legs have run and walked me through an eventful few months since I started LEJOG 5 on 1 September 2020 with a combined running and dog walk distance of 6.64 miles. Today I rounded it all off with a combined run and dog walk of 4.9 miles.
There have been some landmarks along the way, not just in terms of beautiful scenery and some fantastic views, but personal ones too, including my first (and as yet only) 10k on my birthday, and my highest run and walk mileage total of 10.01 miles one day in November.
LEJOG has been a great motivator over the winter months and a great incentive to keep me returning from the IC whenever injury dared to strike.
For all those still out on the road, including Timotea and jorgeRuns - keep going, you are nearly there!! See you at the finish!! π
π€ πHhmm.... What am I going to do now......?
I need to find myself another virtual (or not?) event to work towards....... π€
πββοΈ A second 10k would be a good place to start.
Itβs lovely to hear from you. Hope all is going well. π
Well done Delly-dot π₯³ get the drinks in, although you might get through a few whilst waiting for the rest of us to join you, Iβve still got nearly 200 miles to go π€

Best you hurry up then Mrs Jorge! I'll have them lined up on the bar ππ₯
Thank you OGRπ. Iβm just going to give Isla a few days to give her paws a rest πΎ and then weβll be looking for another challenge I think π
Just coming out of Bβham. So heading towards my Home soon, which was my original target (M6 Exit 16) but I think I might make it to the Lake District, now. Slowly but surely! (but I think I wonβt see the arrival of a medal for this challenge, π Iβm just too slow to finish in the year)
You are doing brilliantly. Having markers is a great idea. I had a couple of markers on the M6 too - just a little further up from you near J19 (where my childhood home and family are π‘), then the Lake District too where I studied for 4 years. Next markers were near my in-laws in Scotland and some Memory Lane places in the Highlands.
I logged all my runs and dog walks by doing my total step count each day.
Thank you! Iβd hoped Iβd be a little quicker but the IC had other ideas. Still pleased as punch though π. It has certainly been a great incentive to keep getting out there through the winter weather. Now roll on summer sunshine π
Brilliant - with loads of time to spare too! Have you seen they are now doing JoGLe??? Also, since you're in Scotland you could join me on the Edinburgh Marathon Festival 10k. A few of us are doing it - weekend of 29th May - although you can choose when to do it. π
Oooh .... I shall have a look at the Edinburgh 10k. Hopefully Iβll get to run in Scotland for real again at some point when we are finally able to visit my in-laws. I havenβt seen JOGLE either so shall take a look. Thanks FM xx
Yaas! Well done! I finished at the beginning of April & the (very nice) t-shirt came shortly after. I might've worn it a few times... I'm now doing JOGLE as well, but managed to resist the North Coast 500 for now. I'm doing the Edinburgh 10k, but am slightly apprehensive about it since I'm running so badly just now. I'm aiming just to limp round at a snail's pace (no change there π) until I get it done. Join us....
Hi PandaCory. You are all doing a good job on me this morning! I am seriously thinking about it now though Iβll need to really get my act together and start clocking up some longer runs...... π
I doubt that I will be 10k ready by race day but Iβll take a look. I need something to work towards. Howβs the IC treating you?

Delly Iβve signed up for the Edinburgh Festival 10k (as the vitality London has been postponed until later in the year) then I discovered you have a whole year to complete your 10k, so anytime you are ready will work π€

Thank you! Now Iβm seriously thinking about it π
Well on the negative side since the physios prodding I've had backache βΉοΈ, on the positive my leg is much better πI think the exercises are helping though, back for another session next week.
Yes as JorgeRuns says you can do the Edinburgh 10k any time which is great as I'll probably be doing it in the autumn at this rate.
Glad to read the physio is having some positive effects. Hopefully the back pain will ease by itself. Right, Iβm going to check out the 10k....... βΊοΈ
Congratulations π if you wait for me to get to the 10k finishing line, you might get a bit bored! but I'm going to turn up one fine day. Best wishes βΊοΈ
