No medal bling yet, but plenty of postcards to keep my motivation up. Added a 2k row yesterday to my English Channel happily rowing towards Europe. Added a 5k run today to my Hadrian and LEJOG challenge and am about to hit 200m in LEJOG. (And I must watch that Channel 5 documentary about Hadrian’s Wall!)
Getting there, and I think my first (ever!) medal might be not for running, but for rowing! Who’d have thought!
Whatever it takes to keep us running! Not much really, just a pair of shoes, some brilliant virtual running buddies and some postcards!
Happy running and may all you brilliant VRBs receive many virtual postcards to keep you going!

Well done CBDB that’s great progress! I’m also doing LEJOG but I started in August last year. I’m just about to hit 700 miles on that, so just over 174 miles left! I’m also doing Route 66 in the virtual world, with about 150 miles down and well over 2,000 to go. At least I’ve got until the end of 2022 to complete that one!I completed RED January at the weekend and my next challenge is ‘Miles for Mind’ organised by Runr.co.uk which I started this week. My personal target is 75 miles in February for that one. After a 14km run on Wednesday I’m up to 15 miles so far, so I’m off to flying start. Happy running 🏃♂️🏃♀️and rowing! 🚣♀️🚣♂️
Nice and Wowsa! Some brilliant challenges. Recently became aware of runr. They have some great virtual charity runs, I saw! Nice! I fear my monthly mileage is way lower, but increasing very slowly. So 75miles per month sounds immensely impressive. Big applause!!! 👏👏👏
I started in mid October so I’ve been trundling along for ages! Looking forward to making my up. The Lake District was my favourite but so far I think 👍
You’re an inspiration, taking all these challenges in one go! I confess I bought a second Conquerer challenge since it was an offer but I haven’t a clue what else I’ll take on. So many choices!
Yeah, having started running ca 9 months ago, a whole new world of possibilities has opened up. It certainly has significantly helped me stay sane during our gruelling pandemic / lockdown season.
Yup, couldn’t live without my running anymore, and Yoga and rowing is getting there as well! Still slow and inflexible but having delightful runs and rows and workouts! Thank you!
Brilliant! You've really got this, haven't you 👏👏👏🤸♀️🤸♀️ are you doing the virtual Hadrian's Wall challenge? I've been eyeing it up for a while, I walked a bit of the wall (well, three different bits) a few years back and I loved it! Keep going, you're doing great! 😃💪
