30 minute puffer

Funny that my last run was so wonderful and yet today was one of those stinkers! Fortunately I decided to ditch the notion of a long run and cut it to 30 mins since it was an out and back run on a cycle path. Was the hottest day so far at 18° and I think I just wasn't hydrated enough. Never mind, its beautiful weather and the next run will be a good un!

That water is a must now Fionamags especially as it's warming up and you're doing longer runs 👍

Aww that tough run that pops itself in to our lives every so often, I’m sure it’s in cahoots with those gremlins sometimes, sure the next will be a good one 😀Be proud you ran

You are so right re the gremlins. Although I looked at my heart rate afterwards and it was very high for that run - so definitely a good decision to cut it short. But 30 mins in the legs 😊

30 minutes is good

Some runs just don't "click". You'll have a better one for which you are better prepared next time.

Yes that's my way of looking at it. Don't prolong the bad ones - just get shot of them 😆😆.

Any run is a good run surely? Just that some, like your previous one, are best termed excellent..😊

No I'm afraid it was a gritted teeth job. But what doesn't kill you..... 😂😂

I bet it was the heat especially if you think you weren't properly hydrated. But it was 30 minutes more running and that's what really matters.

It often happens though, a brilliant run is followed by a tough one just seems to be the way.

I think you're right. That last one was hard to beat! But we always expect the magic to happen, don't we? Well worth it when it happens though.

I have decided baking is the better part of valour this evening instead of a run. At least you went into the out 🤗

Very good - i like that. 🤣🤣🤣

That’s a timely reminder for me to make sure I drink enough before next heading out. It’s definitely been beautiful sunny weather 😀☀️

Yes its wonderful - but a sting in the tail for us runners. (Still feel slightly bashful at calling myself a runner - but ....)

18 degrees Celsius 🥶

I’ve obviously been in Australia too long. That’s a ‘should I wear a jumper run’ 😜

Here’s to a better run next time whatever the weather ❤️🏃‍♀️

Strange how they can vary so much. I’m just trying to persuade myself to run before having my tea, but I’m STARVING, so I’m struggling and have decided some faffage and reading other people’s posts might help...

Now if i wait too long then I need to eat. Then I need to digest and then.....

BaddieThePirate profile image
BaddieThePirateGraduate10 in reply toFionamags

Exactly, but reading everyone’s posts did the trick and I ran. 40mins faffing and the run only took 30mins!

Ha ha ha not bad - but it can sometimes take as long as two days sitting about in running gear... Well done for reaching escape velocity!

If we didn't have the odd rubbish run we wouldn't appreciate the ones where it feels so easy and natural. We'll done for getting out there!😊

30 mins run and that can’t be taken away. Time to keep watching hydration, you’re right there! 🌸😊🌸

Yeah, this sounds like my sloggle from Sunday. Maybe it is our bodies getting used to higher temperatures, as you suggest. 💪👍🏽
