Another beautiful sunny morning and I couldn't resist the call of the running shoes.
The footpaths are nice and dry now but quite hard and uneven so I couldn't rush even if my legs weren't tired before I started (too much gardening yesterday with a very unhelpful puppy who tried to dig up everything I planted 😖).
So it was another slow and steady 4.5k today. Saw a couple of dog walkers, one with a grown up golden retriever- gosh, Pitta has got a lot more growing to do to catch up 😲.
Let's hope the weather holds. Its so nice to feel some warm sunshine again.
Happy running folks!

I like the pic, seems so much more inviting than my usual run along a busy cycle track beside an even busier A road. I think I'll have to give trail running a go myself.
Definitely better than a busy road which I have had to do in the past but more challenging for the feet and ankles. And none of the roads round here have pavements which makes them slightly dodgy if you meet a racing van or tractor.
That looks a lovely path to run on. When it's such a lovely day it's much nicer to take it slow and steady so you can fully appreciate your surroundings.
Yes, I'm not pushing myself at the moment. I lost a bit of fitness over winter because I wasn't running quite so often so now I'm just getting back into the swing of it - slightly more difficult with a puppy as I'm not entirely my own boss any more 😏😊
There's a sense of freedom to be able to run in open spaces without people. I've only lived here for a year and a half and I still really appreciate it.
Wonderful photoI know exactly what you mean. The wet and mud churned everywhere up so much and now it's all baked dry and hard. It would be so easy to turn an ankle
