App to track with Garmin - similar to Runkeeper?

I used to use Runkeeper and loved how my runs were tracked and summarised by week, month, year and distance, time, etc.

Since I bought a Garmin, I don’t use Runkeeper any more and just have my data go automatically to Strava.

Unfortunately, I don’t find Strava all that appealing (not the free version, at least). Is there a better option?

I miss Runkeeper so much that I was actually considering inputting data manually. But that would be a nightmare...

Any thoughts or suggestions would be most welcome.

Happy midweek running!

Nike Run Club splits them into week, month, year and is free. It also tells you your fastest 5k, 10k etc.

Garmin has its own "Connect" app.

Thanks, Nowster. I use the Garmin Connect app to look at runs and the stats right after but I don't see the stats by week, month or year. Am I using the app incorrectly?

You can get to them if you go onto a PC. It had lots of ways to see your runs, by date, distance etc.

I need to try that Garmin Connect app on the computer. I only use the one on my phone, which I find quite limited. Thank you for the suggestion - will check it out!

Yes you just go to more, activities, running then you can click on year at the top

You can still use Runkeeper, link your Garmin with Runkeeper and Garmin will load up your runs in your Runkeeper account. Then you have the same you always had.

Ohhhh. I tried this and it worked!! HUGE thanks for your comment and enlightening me. I didn't even know there was a partnership between the two. I linked my watch to the Runkeeper app and it pulled in all my information automatically. No manual entry needed (thank goodness!) I'm super happy with the result - and I have all my data since the beginning of this running business :)Thank you so much again.

The garmin connect app keeps your history within the activities section from the menu. Gives personal records and a breakdown of your runs over 7 days,4 weeks year etc...

Thanks LG. I checked out the app but didn't like how the data were displayed. And I can't compare this week to last week; this month to last month, etc.

BlackScorpian got me clued into how to link Runkeeper to my Garmin so I'm sorted. Thank you for your suggestion, though.

Happy running!

If you look on the app at the bottom of the screen it shows you the last 7 days runs...if you click on the runs ie: 3 runs as shown it brings you to a screen showing the last 7 days but there are tabs to look at the last 4 weeks, or the last 12 months with the months shown also so for e.g. you can see what you did in January.

I'll attach more photos below so you know what you're looking for...hopefully this is what you're after.

There's so much I don't know how to do on/with the Garmin but I think it's all there if you can find it!

Thank you so much, Run46. I didn’t know about the 7 day runs. BlackScorpian got me clued in on the fact that I can sync directly with Runkeeper. I like the this week vs last week comparison and this month vs last month.

Your reply and photos are much appreciated.
