A nice gentle 6.5k today. I waited for a short sleety shower to finish and set off in sunshine which lasted almost to the end. I did have a quick stop as I had a call from the grandchildren in Singapore (probably the only call that I would let interrupt a run) but no jeffing today.
As I trotted through the next-door village I saw one chap coming out of the village shop but I had the rest of my run all to myself. Apart, that is, for the two deer that stood and watched me shuffle past. They didn't even run off this time; probably wondered what on earth I was doing π€£.

Sounds like a great run - I love it when I get the trails to myself and am happy to tootle off the main bridleways to find a little peace and quiet! Wildlife always welcome though!ππββοΈπ¦πΏπ¦πΏπ²
How fantastic to see the deer and get a photo, I see them in the distance but too far for a picture. Great distance and how wonderful to get to talk to your grandchildren while you were out.
I do hope the spring weather gives us a bit of warmth soon.
Thanks dijep. I see the deer from time to time but this is the first time they've still been there by the time I've got my phone out.I gather the weather is set to improve next week. Not a moment too soon for running and gardening.
Yes I'm lucky with the area I get to run in. It's always lovely to talk my family in Singapore. I haven't even met the youngest face to face. Thank goodness for video calls.
When I started C25k I was amazed to find that birds didn't up and fly away as I approached them doing my slow jog. I wondered then if they saw me simply as a harmless mammal trotting by!
