Woke up 5:00am this morning, proud to be running virtual shotgun again to offer support to our hero 9weeks2Run . She’s reached the dreaded W5R3 on her quest to complete C25k for the second time on the road to her full recovery. 💪🏻🏃♀️ check out her post, it’s better than this one 😂
Running shoes on, short sleeve shirt with long sleeve one over the top, running tights, hat and gloves. I needed those too as it was freezing out there 🥶. It was that cold a brass monkey stopped me and asked if I knew a welder !
There’s something so different about early morning runs, I always feel so much fitter and stronger that time of day. Breathing good and form felt really good too. I’ve stuck to shorter distances lately no point in ending every run feeling totally shattered. Especially when you’ve got to go to work afterwards.
The run went really well and I even found myself picking up the pace as the 5k was coming to an end. Coach Bennett was counting down the metres and said ‘remember every finish line is a start line in disguise’ ? 🤷♂️ reminded me of Master Po and his words of wisdom to Grasshopper in the old 70’s Kung Fu series. 🌅
My sprint finish completed the 5k run and as I was catching my breath I noticed a bobble hat bush, which I took a pic of.... who knew they actually grew in the wild and aren’t knitted at all ! 😉

Progress is being made my lovely! Watch this space 😀 .Been on the bike recently, trouble is it stays in one spot! My feet go round but I’m still stuck indoors 😉🤣🤣🤣 x
It’s all exercise though isn’t it and it’s kinder to your joints. You Tube have virtual bike rides, maybe you could put your bike in front of the TV and use one of those 👍x

This may interest you, when they say freeze the balls off a brass monkey, it’s a maritime term. The brass monkey being the thing that holds the cannonballs, cold weather contracts the metal and the cannon balls fall off 👍
