'Hare' ... I am !

Hello running friends... here I am! I am so sorry this reply is so late!

This is a post just to say, the most enormous thank you, to every one of you who has sent me , the most moving and heart warming, birthday greetings.

I have not been online too much, over the last few days except for my duties and had to have a nudge to take a look at the forums!

When I did take a peek, I was stunned... Mummycav had really done me proud and what a super poet she is

I have never taken my friends on the forums for granted, but the replies and the PM message, have left me reeling. I have never felt so loved.

After my mental and physical blip in October, which I posted about, I felt I may never have run again; but the support and the friendship and yes, love from folk here, was not to be underestimated. As a result of all that terrific encouragement, C25K began again 7 weeks ago, ( no pressure at all and extra rest days if needed), and Week 7 Run 1 was completed this morning...in a headwind... glorious sunshine, biting cold and a small snow shower, thrown in for good luck!

As a new 71 !!! year old, I thought, not bad!

I had a lovely birthday on Saturday and we spent a super garden, lunch day, with my daughter, son in law and small runner in training, yesterday; culminating in a wonderful walk across my fields in the Spring sunshine. Lots of lovely presents... new journal and watercolour pad... new phone ( which is driving me loopy and flowers, and so many lovely flowers! A carrot and blueberry cake yesterday, too was a real treat...Jenny makes her GF cakes on special occasions only

So, again, I am sorry for the lateness of this post, and again, also, thank you x

The hare is Tarquin Longleap ... his name taken from a character in one of Brian Jacques. Redwall series of books.

Part of one f the projects on my watercolour class and he took me ages!
