Racecourse looking lovely.

Been spending a couple of days preening Grandma’s garden, she having moved a couple of weeks ago. Managed to get an hour to get my glad rags on, and off I went alongside Chepstow Racecourse. They had their grass cutter out and it smelt lovely, but on I went into the small village where I met my good lady and married her 31 years ago. How she has put up with me I shall never know. I cut past the cemetery where her dad is buried having died all too young at 43, then a quick cut through the church yard where we had emerged through that lovely big wooden door husband and wife so long ago. Seemed like only yesterday. Back down the hill to the racecourse roundabout tired but exhilarated. Me running anywhere is a miracle, but me running today....was just lovely, and wonderful, I loved it all.

It was LottieMW, bit like ‘all our yesterdays’. If you’d said all those years ago that I’d be running through the church yard many years later I’d have laughed!

It was Oldgirlsrun, I could see lots of friendly faces in the churchyard now long gone, and I followed the route of where we’d left the church in our horse drawn carriage, and just for a few lovely minutes I was there all over again!
