Hi all ive been running for two years now after doing the brilliant c25k. I usually run 2/3 times a week doing 5/7k in 40/50 minutes. Not brilliant but at 63 and never ran before im proud.

Anyway i find if i miss my run on the fourth day i am up all night with major cramps in my legs especially this week as i was moving house for my daughter and standing all day unpacking

Anyone else suffer? Xx

Hello suegrace, I have no medical experience, but my first thought is perspiration , hydration and loss of minerals and salts when running.

Are you drinking enough water the day before you run and after your run. You should be on at least 2 litres a day but the pee colour test is a good one (the lighter the better)

As it gets warmer I also use a Zero high 5 tablet in the water which adds the electrolytes and minerals back to the body. You can buy them online or in running shops or Millets.

However, if hydration is not an issue, seek medical advice.
