Getting ready to go out the door this morning only to discover my beloved Aftershokz needed recharging 🙁 a little worried I might struggle without some form of distraction I set off anyway and decided to try out my favourite trail for first time in ages (it’s been too muddy and impassable in places). Apart from a few deep muddy patches that required tackling the bank and verges to pass near the start, it was fine. I was so pleased as I realised, as my mind drifted off in every direction, that one of the ways I classify my various run routes is not only by terrain, how busy will it be, do I want hills etc. But by how happy it makes me and this trail makes me very 😊. Fields, sheep, track, views over Weald if Kent, farms, wildlife, village, home. It is not the easiest route but it is rewarding - especially the last 1k downhill! Happy Easter running 🐰🐥🦥

Your chosen trail sounds a great way to run into Easter and the start of Spring. Did you miss the aftershox distractions?

Absolute bliss 🥰. I often run silent on the trails as sounds of nature are so soothing, plus I feel the need to concentrate more on the terrain. It’s amazing where the mind wanders off to though. I do all sorts from composing shopping lists to poems, both of which I instantly forget once home ☺️ You keep yourself amused for miles 😃

Great that you enjoyed this trail run so much! Sometimes it’s good to run without headphones. You feel completely different, don’t you?
