I have always loved exercise but never running. I started the couch to 5k to get is fresh air in Lockdown and I enjoyed the small runs with my wee boy. He then got bored and stayed home and I fell off the plan but did my own thing. I'm at 33 minutes now but I feel Im quite slow. I've still never got the buzz people talk about and can't imagine running much longer. Does it just happen? ☺️

Slow is perfectly fine. What's more important is that you're active and moving for more than 15 minutes.
I don't think I've ever had a buzz during a run, even on the really long ones, but do feel something afterwards.
The thing to do is make sure running isn't becoming routine and boring. Vary your routes. Look around at things whilst you're out there. Stop and smell the flowers.

Hey Newlou, slow is wonderful. I'm happy as Larry trotting around slowly, and it's taken me up to HM distance several times without injury. Embrace it, and I'm sure you'll get the buzz at some point. Try new routes, new terraine, treat yourself to some new running gear - share your highs and lows on here! It's a wonderful thing we have, this running. 👍
Thank you. I am a bit bored with my route, due to time I always just go the same way however I will really try and mix it up. I think I have a fear of pushing myself to far, as weird as that sounds - at this age ive just realised this as im doing it at my bootcamp as well. I didn't used to be like this! I will keep look to this page for inspiration. I have a friend who is a great runner and she told me today that actually in her 10k she often has a quick walk within it just to get a bit of energy back, that hadn't crossed my mind to do that

There's nothing wrong with slow! If you want to mix it up a bit, how about the odd hill or fartlek runs? Google it, it's great. 👍
