Well after 2 busy days with grandchildren it was finally me time😁so I was awake early again got up, ready and off I went. Didn’t want to set myself a target so just ran. Set off Strava and MapMyRun and Fitbit and got music 🎶 on. And off I went having carefully put my phone into my running belt before I started running. 🤞no tech issues today🤣🤣🤣. Enjoyed my run I did an amalgamation of 2 routes to try and get some distance in without going into the village. On way back home i was being blown at by the wind so upped my speed to try to make sure I didn’t slow down. Got back to house and switched everything off and did my warm down and a few stretches. Then went to look at my stats and Strava has logged me an Afternoon run on last Sunday’s date🙃. MapMyRun run has today’s date and the correct time as does Fitbit but Strava seems to still think it’s Sunday 😣🙃😣🙃😣can I change the date. I’ve managed to log it as a run rather than an afternoon run but can’t seem to change the date to today 🙃🙃🙃🙃any help gratefully received 🙏🙏🙏🙏. Had a great run. 40 minutes and non hip twinges and the lambs are growing up nicely
Good run but tech issues again help required... - Bridge to 10K

I'm sorry Scruff55, I can't advise you re Strava as I've never used it, but might do having read your post (hopefully with the right days!). I just wanted to say well done! Even when I was running regularly I never ran more than 30 minutes, and I could never speed up, snails pace is my limit, my legs never seemed to want to go any faster. Even if I tried speeding up I couldn't. Therefore, I am full of admiration for you but I also will think, when running again, that if Scruff55 can do it then so can I, especially as we're the same age. Happy running - and bless the lambs! 😄
Thank you so much 🙏🙏 I don’t always find running easy. But I have now decided not to put too much pressure on myself and I think it has made it easier for me. I think we all feel lethargic at times and I know it’s not always easy. try to be kind to yourself and just take things easy until you feel more confident and comfortable it will happen. I think it is a mind thing. I now let myself run/walk if I’m not having a good day. I have read so much about that type of run actually helping you get faster and stronger so I don’t worry too much about it now. Your time will come back again just take it slowly so long as you can try and get out 2-3 times a week then you will be getting fitter and stronger too. Happy running 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🙃🙃😀😀😀🌸🌸🌻🌷💐💐
Thanks Scruff55, I completely agree with you, my time will come and I'll get back into it, until then I'll enjoy my 'time off'. Like you I had got to a stage in my running whereby I accepted that I'm slow and just allowed myself to go at a speed that I felt comfortable with, instead of stressing about my slowness. I think being the age that we are allows us to be much more accepting of ourselves - after all, how many people continue to run at our age! I look forward to getting back into it - it may be next week when I'm off work for the Easter break! Enjoy the rest of your week/weekend. 😊
