Yesterday I completed my first run of week 3 and it felt great!! I really enjoyed it and during the 3 minutes section of running I felt strong (obviously totally exhausted in the evening!!) and felt a glimmer of the old me!!
It was so delightful running in Battersea Park, The cherry blossom on the trees looks beautiful and full of hope on the first day of spring. I wore my new running top that I got for Motherβs Day and my puffa coat (yes I cannot believe I ran in my coat, what a sight!!) and gloves. I felt soooo cold. I tend to feel the cold so much more now although a lot of the time I feel like my body is burning and stinging, although I am cool to touch. This week I developed a new sensation where it feels like warm water is running down the inside of my right leg (gave me a bit of a shock whilst at work the other day!!).
Whilst I was running yesterday I did think π€ I wonder if I could try and do run two without having a rest day in between but not sure if that would be wise and I should not push myself and be patient! Next week I am increasing my shifts at work to three earlys a week with a couple of days off in between. At the moment I canβt manage to run on a work day.
Anyway enough about me, wishing you many happy Kmβs of running and a lovely day.
Omg @Indielass canβt wait to watch Line of Duty tonight, enjoy! X

Same. π―ββοΈππ» well done I was wondering the same thing. Just to try and get week 3 over. Should I run tomorrow? As I felt quite empowered and energised out there today. Or am I too impatient π€
Thank you so much NR. That is fantastic to hear, Well done on completing your run amazing you are feeling empowered and energised πππͺπͺππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈ. Lol how funny we thought the same thing, I am not sure to be honest, Al just mentioned a good point about injury, didnβt think of that! Enjoy your next run
Ah yes. Good point well my Al. Hadn't occurred to me on my new found eagerness. Trying to bound around the fields like spring lamb πthough most deff more of a spring
Good post and run for you Rebecca, that's a lovely photo of the Cherry Tree in blossom, you are sensible on not running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury.
Itβs weird isnβt it, I am going to mention it to the Doctor at work, I feel like I am turning into a hypochondriac over the last year. You are right I am not going to push myself and I will continue to have rest days, I donβt want that to happen to me, I dare not even mention the dreaded βIβ word and I am going to be grateful that I can get out there and do C25K again and stop being inpatient.
Enjoy Line of Duty too, I am planning to have a restful day and a nice walk later.
Yay the day has arrived!!!!!! I canβt wait too!!!!! π€ΈββοΈππππLast night I was so tired I went to sleep around 9pm. I hope I can stay awake for it tonight π¬ Iβm sure I will ππ»
Cherry blossom is my absolute favourite, love your pic.
Well done on W3, I bet it felt good to run for a bit longer ππ»ββοΈ
Hope work goes ok with you having an extra early shift. Will they let you cut back again if itβs too much for you?
Hi Sarah,It is fantastic, lol I was thinking the same taking it easy this afternoon after my walk. Enjoy!!
It really did feel so good. I am looking forward to next week when it increases to 5 minutes. That will be a major breakthrough for me. The last time I tried to run on my own I ran 5 minutes and had really bad chest tightness so really hoping I can get through that OK.
Yes, I am on a phased return. I have just been working two Shifts for the last three weeks, hopefully it will go well. I am getting better now at pacing myself now and accept on the days I work I am completely shattered so I go to bed early those nights. The plan is to keep increasing till I get back to 5 earlys. It is going to take me a few months then I need to try to get back to working long days and nights, will see how it all goes.
Well done for W3 R1. Youβre doing so well taking it steady. Some odd symptoms you are having! Are you logging them all in the Zoe app? You could be a case for scientific study!
It sounds like youβre slowly getting stronger, but as others have said, itβs not a good idea to run on consecutive days.
The tree looks lovely with all its blossom and itβs a gorgeous morning here. Hello, springtime π
Thank you so much and for all your support. Yes I am logging my symptoms daily On the app and they are all listed ( apart from the new sensation) Some of my friends have experienced the same things, one work colleague can still not smell or taste and it is nearly a year, so I feel very fortunate not to have that.
Yes I am going to take the good advice from everyone and stop being inpatient, as I was thinking it I think I knew what the answer was!!
Yaay hello Spring Time.
Have a lovely day π₯°π»π»π»πΎπ§π»βππ±ππ»ββοΈ Xxx
Brilliant Rebecca, a run that includes a blossom tree has gotta be a good one π, I wish that the blossom lasted longer but sadly one good gust of π¬οΈand poof it's all on the ground, the weird and wonderful ways of nature π .
Wise of you even though tempted, ease back as you are, there's no need to run back to back days, you are still mending remember ( there's always space on that naughty step young lady π§)
Tonight I believe we might even find out who "H" is time will tell.........
Yay well done! Such a beautiful place to run too π₯° but you're right, best not push too hard, break days are vital π such a strange collection of symptoms associated with long covid, hope it doesn't last too long for you!
Thank you so much BF. Yes I love Battersea Park. They are really weird, I notice they all seem to increase when I am tired. My COVID toes are much better now and only bother me when my feet get cold. I wear thermal socks under my tights at work which really helps.
Weird sensations you are getting, seems you have been left more sensitive, what a lovely tree and donβt rush it, you will increase as you can and as still feel tired at end of day take your rest days x
Yes it is all very weird. Thank you for your kindness and support. Yes not going to push myself going to be sensible. Hope you have a lovely afternoon x
some of our staff had that fit testing but those masks not needed so far Shift was fine thanks and i managed to do the covid test planning for next week xx
Hi Rebecca, sounds another great run, and a lovely picture of the blossom on the tree, i've a friend who lives next to battersea park, i'm guessing it must get pretty busy π€Enjoy line of duty tonight! βΊ
Thank you so much Peter. Oh thatβs nice, I live 15 minute walk away from the Park and also from Clapham Common, I always favour going to Battersea Park!! I used to go there as a child, I used to take my son when he was younger and now my grandchildren and great nephews lots of happy memories.
