This morning I set off for either a 4 or 5k run - depending on how long I had and how I was feeling. And right from the start I knew it would be 4k.
I just couldn't find the rhythm. Everything was off today. I'd struggled with my shoelaces, having to redo them on my warm up walk, and my phone armband, having to tighten it on my run. I was tired and breathing hard. Every movement was difficult. My legs were as heavy as they've ever been.
I'm putting it down to a few things: I slept badly last night, I hadn't run for a week, I donated blood a couple of days ago and it was freezing.
I'll be back at it in a couple of days and hopefully things will be a bit easier.

Definitely sounds like a bad day, but you have a couple of things that might have caused it. So blame those things and not yourself and look forward to your next run, which will be better! Oh and that is still 4K under the belt, better then 0K 😉
