Guess what I've gone and done? All these bling posts have been wearing me down. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 So....I've signed up for the Edinburgh Marathon Festival virtual 10k! It's on the 29th May so hopefully I'll be all set by then.
Anyone care to join me? 😉

Edinburgh, too far away!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Well done, that is something to look forward to, isn't £20 a little expensive for a 10K, anyway, enjoy the run on the 29th May
Congratulations 🥳 I will be cheering you on from the sidelines.
Well done Fionamags! I’ll follow you in spirit!
Hi there from Ayrshire, sounds brilliant. Hoping to achieve 10k within a few weeks and if that goes ok think I will join up with you virtually🤞🤞. Great idea.
That is fantastic Fionamags such a wonderful goal you can do this 👏👏 We will be cheering you on
Better late than never, just forked out my entry for the 10k 😊I'm thinking it'll keep the 10k incentive going. This time round I'm going to consolidate before moving beyond 10.
See you on the virtual start 🏃🏃♀️🏃♂️🤸♀️
Brilliant! I've got my neighbour reeled in as well. He is 75 and fit as a fiddle so although we plan to start together we won't finish together. 😆 He kept seeing my comings and goings in running gear and started asking me what I was up to. He ran marathons in his younger days but hasn't run for many years. I recently drove past him running up an incredibly steep hill.... 🙄 But its lovely to think that my gentle staggers gave him the nudge to get back to it.
Maybe we should try starting at the same time as well? Maybe watch the weather and make a pact nearer the time? Hareshaw-Granny and PandaCory are in as well.
I also meant to say how great that you've got your neighbour back out there. I see several much older runners regularly, one guy looks like he probably did feel running as he does circuits of one of the hilly paths. But best is a couple of women I see who are always laughing and chatting to everyone else or stopping to look at things, they are obviously having so much fun.
I have only done one 5k run.. not sure I would be able to run 10k by then? Open to any advice?
I have never entered any race etc either 🤣 maybe I should stick with the 5k? My husband has ran the Edinburgh marathon and liked it a lot
Well the beauty of this one is that you don't need to do it on the actual course - which is a tad brutal tbh. If you think you've got time to work up to 10k then come join us on the virtual 10k challenge. But if not, they also do a virtual 5k on the same weekend. Let us know what you decide. 👍
All done! Was a lovely morning & I was thinking of you all while I was trundling round. May just lie down for a bit now 😁😁. Good luck VRBs!
Fantastic - well done and with a great time too!
Thanks - I surprised myself! I think that'll be the last 10k for me for a while though - too much stress on the old wonky joints. Good luck for yours when it comes 🍀
