I dedicate it all to the custard slice!

Well I never, I only went and did it. I managed to propel this old lump non-stop this morning for a full 60 minutes. I felt proud of myself as the last minute counted itself down, and my mind took me back to a couple of years or so ago to being told I had the Big C. I had a few bits and pieces removed, and I beat that and now I’ve managed to beat my own self doubt and I’ve done it. Well.....I’m off now to get my custard slice eaten, and then......who knows......onwards and upwards, perhaps the Olympics!!

I will postpone my custard slice until I reach 8K. But it sounds like you more than deserved yours. I think my road to 10K might take a bit longer - it is the shorter runs which take the effort. But they need doing to build stamina.

I’m sure you’ll get there. I only managed 6K this morning but I’m going to try the distance plan next and see how I get on. The custard slice was lovely, and they come two in a box.....one still left in the fridge (for now) !

That's fantastic 030961. What a story.... to have overcome the Big C and now to be able to run for 60mins. You're certainly an inspiration to many!

I'm celebrating with you today, as I also made myself run for 60 mins!!! I've only ever done that once before and that was the end of last year. Then Covid hit!

But the sunnier weather helps, along with Coach Bennett in my ear.
