So I’m supposed to be resting my foot but it’s a lovely day and I just wanted to get out so I downloaded NRC and selected a 30 min run to try the app out. My intention was a nice gentle pace keeping my heart below 150bmp.
Nice warm up and 5 min walk and then started the gentle run with my inspiring new coach. Brilliant!
I went a different route and headed for the sea. I stopped to take a picture and then headed off again. The coach wasn’t talking to me anymore so I was just jogging and listening to music enjoying being out. I stopped to take another pic and realised the app had paused, oops. Not to worry I was feeling great so I just started it again and carried on.
I ended up running 3.8 miles with an average of 149bmp and I feel great 😊

Well done . Lovely scenery . It’s hard to get your bpm down . I am doing that just now running slow. Trying to run at 8.35m/k to 9m/k but hard and sometimes heart rate still high. I can run 5 km and 1 x10 km but heart rate usually high so am going to concentrate on going slower to try and get down 30!mins twice weekly and probably 5 km weekend but not going to worry over time. A step backward for me but back and feet playing up so maybe more sensible and felt a lot easier breathing going at that pace “slow jogging” . 🏃🏼🤗
