Hideous 2 hour 12k !

Had to run (scramble) uphill in thick mud through the woods as the footpath was like a lake - wonderful sunshine and no gales, so it was bliss in a lot of ways. Could've done without carrying the 2kilos of mud on my trainers on the way home, but managed to shake most of it off en- route!

Goodness that sounds like a very hard work 2hr run. Have a little celebration along with your stretching to ward off stiffness tomorrow. Well done, happy running 🤗

Thank you, started off at my usual pace and had to nearly grind to a halt in the mud, but it's a beautiful day so I didn't mind a mud bath! - not sure how I'm gonna clean my trainers yet.🥴

Welcome to the 12k club. 👍

I'm definitely feeling a bit Tin Man today after doing mine yesterday. "Oilcan!" 🤖

Well done Teresa on your 12k, it's mad, how are we now able to run for 2 hours+ 🤷‍♂️ sounded very slippy, good job you stayed on your feet, sounds like your edging towards 10 miles, i'm still resting up, might try a short run this wed.

I know!- 2hours!!????- unbelievable , especially uphill in the mud!- hope the rest is helping you- you'll be back out there soon.

Yes it can a bit hard going out there on 'the trails' at the moment, I've had a few very muddy runs recently and some downright soggy runs! 😬

Think I'll have to invest in some trail shoes, just incase!- quite often need them in August down here !

I do have trail shoes myself but I'm not so sure they make too much difference in deep mud 😬

I bet!- I gave up trying to get round it and just went straight through it in the end- up to my ankles. I looked bizarre running home 😱🥴🤣

Hard work but satisfying, I would be chuffed to do it in that time even on flat smooth track

I was SOOOO pleased to get back on the flat on the way home!

I don't think I would have lasted 45 minutes! I would have been scared of slipping over. I think I'm definitely a city runner!

Awesome running! 2 hours, that’s brilliant! Well on the way to 10 miles with that 12K under your belt. 👏👏👏

I've run 12k *once* on a lovely spring day, so bloody well done for managing it in the mud!
