Good morning runners! A very happy Friday to you all, I hope you week has been a good one and hope the weekend brings happy times π€π»
Today sees my first weekly round up where il try to give an update of what I've been doing exercise wise and give some numbers and details of how "The Plan" is working for me.
A quick breakdown of the weeks exercise first:
Mon 6km walk, Tue 8km run, Wed 5km walk, Thu 8km run, Fri 8km walk.
Sat and Sun il add to next week's review, maybe I should change review day to a Sunday?π€π€£To be honest I've missed posting about running and couldn't wait π€£
I've been nursing the iffy left calf all week and kept all my runs slow by my standards, the 8k runs taking me as long as I'm capable of running 10k in for example. Just haven't wanted to injure anything in a major way so fast running has been off the menu.
The walks have been done in civilian clothes and wearing boots which has felt supportive and by today's walk I wasn't feeling any pain and was able to complete my desired distance, whereas on Wednesday I had to finish early due to discomfort in the calf. Hopefully the issue is sorting itself out π€π»
Other workouts I've been lax I admit, no yoga or strength work as yet but will hopefully get a resistance band session in today and maybe a Joe Wicks p.e class with the youngest! π€£
Weigh in results showed a small loss in weight of a pound or 2, and my body fat percentage remains at just under the 25% mark.
I'm still alcohol free and the healthier eating is still happening (treat night!π) Finding it a little hard as the Mrs keeps filling the fridge with choccy and biscuits and it's quite easy to think "oh I've got loads of calories spare on MFP! Couple of choccy digestives won't hurt!" It however is a slippery slope, I know me! Next thing il be wolfing half a cake down like a pig at a trough π€£ self discipline is tough when everybody else in the house isn't joining in π€£
I'm already thinking about tomorrow's run and hoping I can go a decent distance and pace π€π»
