Well after a 2 week break to rest an injured knee I decided on a long run to blow away some cobwebs. First break since I began the c25k journey 9 months ago. I decided to see what I could do, and ended up Jeffing 10k through the village and up around the hill on the south eastern edge of Bodmin Moor. Lots of damp sheep laying around in the fog and drizzle, and nearly lost my shoe in a bog πŸ˜‚ had to Jeff the really steep bits coming to the top of the hill. Couldn’t see the coastline of Looe which I can usually see, as the fog meant I could only see about 50 yards. Lots of puddles along the old mine train track. Decided to run through them as I was already soaking. Felt pretty pleased to have just kept going and delighted to make it to 10k - no speedy Gonzales but very happy with 10k in 1hr 32mins.

Happy running everyone! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ 🌞

Well done for your 10K and I hope that your knee is now ok! Glad that Jeffing worked for you, but more importantly it sounds like you enjoyed the run πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Thanks Jools. Knee is better - a bit twingey but alright. It’s all the up and down hills apparently. I need to get into a pattern of running more frequently now too. It was good to be out! πŸ₯³

Fantastic effort especially given that you're just returning from injury, you had messy weather and rough terrain. Well done. Happy running πŸ€—

Well done, that's a good distance, as you've had a break, i'm also on first proper rest, since starting c25k, does feel strange not running, usualy, every other day! ☹

Thankyou! Yes it felt strange for a few days but then I really felt the benefit of taking a break and by yesterday I was bursting to run! I think I overdid it a bit because my intercostal muscles are complaining today! Hope you get to run again soon 🌞

How long are you taking off Peter? How’s the knee/hips?

Thinking, maybe next weekend, went on a longish walk today, felt ok while out, hip/knee a bit stiff now, think i was hitting the 10k's bit too often, but it's hard work, not running! ☹

It sure is.. the important thing is that you know your mojo ain’t goin’ anywhere! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ Walking will help your head and patience will keep you in good steading. (Lemme know if you manage to master it and tell me how) πŸ˜‰
