Migraine Attacks

I’m not sure if anyone has experienced this but after a 10K, AND a bath I have ended up with a migraine attack on more than 1 occasion. Do you think it could be the soak in the bath? I was so sick yesterday, debilitating!

I don’t want to be put off running 10K’s!

Anyone else experienced this and any advise would be appreciated.

Thank you

I have had this after very long runs. It is due to low salts and sugars I think. Take a replacement drink with you.

I'm a relatively new & slow C25K graduate but I suffer from migraines generally and have done specifically after exercise on many occasions. Yes totally debilitating, nausea etc and frustrating with the running/exerciseI have always drunk lots of water asides from exercise and couldn't work out what i needed to be doing. i agree with the person who mentioned salt levels - apparently (a GP told me) 1:1 apple juice to water has the same effect as diarolyte and tastes nicer. I came to realise for myself that actually I'm overheating - especially my head/face area. I now place a cool pack from the freezer (no cover) over my neck, face, and on top of my head and find that works well. But i need to bring that heat down quickly so i have to have the time to spend 10 mins sitting down with the ice pack. Good luck!

Thank you! I’ve ordered some electrolyte tablets to dissolve before a run so let’s see how I get on. Thank you for the replies. I think it’s my age too 😳
