So its late on Sunday evening. A busy and pretty successful day: I've done my Yoga with Adriene, completed my longest run (11.45km) and taken the dog on a 6km walk. I've enjoyed my dinner and am now unwinding before doing final task of the week... uploading my weekly mileage for LEJOG.... AAARGH!! I DON'T believe it.... I'm on 499.56!!! Bang goes any feeling of contentment or relaxation!
Ohhhh if only I'd done another loop round the field, or recorded my warm up I'd be past the magic 500 miles. But hey ho... I really can't settle while I'm so near to the milestone... so I fired up the Garmin, donned my walking boots and did a late night brisk walk round the village. Job done! I may be somewhat batty but now I've uploaded the additional half mile I'm really pleased to see that I've crossed the border into Scotland, and zoomed slightly beyond Gretna. Very chuffed!
Happy running everyone...
PS had hoped to invigorate this rather dry/boring post with some pix, but its beyond me at this time of night! So will add that to my list of challenges for next week!
Cheers!

Thanks Al, am thrilled to have crossed the border and looking forward to checking out some of the places I've visited over the years! Was born in Forres (my dad was stationed at RAF Lossiemouth) and although we moved to Jersey when I was only 2, I've always considered myself to be Scottish!
Cheers Fionamags! I'm really excited to have arrived and looking forward to reaching the goal by May. Its great that the miles walked with faithful hound can be combined with those I've run and now my 'longer' weekly run is over 10k, things have picked up quite well! My intention (though who knows if I'll actually carry it through!) is to take the opportunity to look a bit more carefully at the route each week when I upload my mileage and maybe even plan a real visit to Scotland when we are allowed to travel again.
