My 8km four hill run from my front door is my standard one now but has become a little samey.
So today I went back to C25K week one using jog and sprint instead of walk and run. Two runs back to back.
It was really testing, especially sprints on the uphill - lots in the heartbeat red zone. But it was nice of Laura to tell me I deserved a pat on the back twice.
5 minutes quicker than my normal time and I really feel I’ve had a workout even if my VO2max hasn’t moved an iota.

Now that sounds fun and lol at V02max mine goes down when i put in effort and down more when i do an easy run and we don’t even mention Willow’s anymore
It baffles me. My Garmin was very complimentary at first giving me a VO2max 7 years below my age. Gradually it’s crept up to my real age. I’m tempted to set it off and lie in bed all morning!!
Sounds like a good idea, I was 49 years old in fitness for a while 64 in real life, but back to 61 now and poor Willow is 71 😂 Back in the spring when I ran my first 8k I was 79 though so there doesn’t seem much sense in it
