That's what Coach Bennett said this morning during the 12 minute run prior to Runners Up hill workout. So having done my hilly ploddle 2 days ago here I was at the bottom of an incline intent on doing hill intervals - moi?! I did it tho, might not have been elegant, but I did it in my time, my pace! And the joy was thereπ

The highway of joy
Sounds like you enjoyed that which is the most important thing. Happy running π€
Well done Blossom. Sounds like a great achievement & satisfaction. Not many hills where I am and have avoided the one and only big hill. Maybe Iβll attempt it now Iβve read your post π
Fantastic, very well done! You're braver than me, I try to avoid hills at all costs π₯΅π₯΅ ππ
Great result Blossom, once you've managed it you won't even notice it next time π€£. Anyway great for the stamina. All I've got are hills round me, I had to give up worrying about them. π
Week done. I've been doing a few hills recently but hill intervals sounds a steep too far for me! π³
Well done. ππππI avoid hills if I can but I need to attempt them to increase my distances as there is a hill on every route out of the village. So I do need to bite the bulletπ€£π€£π€£
Hill intervals! π±I really need to pluck up the courage and force myself to bite the bullet on that one.
Well done π
Something I've thought of doing for a very long time but keep wimping out of! Once I've increased my distance again I shall give it a go using you as inspiration! Well done - what doesn't kill you makes you stronger - as the saying goes..... π€£π€£
I've been thinking about it for about 6 weeks and now I've done it once I'm keen to do it again to see if it's easier. Apparently it takes about 6 weeks before it makes a real difference to speed/stamina. π€ͺ
Well done πSix weeks π±I did have a sneaky look at the run on NRC though and when I was walking the dog this morning I did see a suitable hill to βploddle upβ πππ
Maybe I should walk up it a few times first π€π
