What ever have thunk I’d get here?

Well, who’d have thunk I’d ever do Lands End to John O’Groats? Never in a bazillion years did I ever expect to do this in my pretty long lifetime. I’m beyond gobsmacked. I wasn’t fast (finished 77), I wasn’t always pretty (if ever), but I did it. I’m chuffed to little mint balls. Weirdly, I really enjoyed the nightly exercise of logging my miles on their system and will miss that routine. I’ll also miss my T shirt as it gets delivered to Scotland and I’m in a pretty parky Portugal 🥶. In fact yesterday morning, when I went out for my run it was colder here than home. And I wondered ‘what the heck’, as the 2 degrees ‘felt like’ minus 2, according to weather app. But as I sat on my balcony sipping a coffee (well it was only 11am🤣) and the sun shone so very warmly, I was once again content with our choice of wintering in this most beautiful country. I’ve managed to keep hitting my goal of at least three 5k each week of January (still early days I know). Just got that elusive January 10k to bag. I’m beyond happy and wish you all happy running peeps.

Fantastic! You are being very modest when you say you were slow - number 77 is brilliant!!!!! There are a few thousand in each cohort. Enjoy the bling when you finally get your hands on it. Here's some mean time 😂. 🎖🏆🏅🥇 And a fanfare too!! 💥💢🎊🎉🎺🎵

Thank you kindly FM. I’ve not had running bling...well...ever. So it’ll be great to experience that. Not that I did it for the bling. But it is a Brucie bonus and something I’m looking forward to🙃

Many thanks GH. Never had any expectations I’d still be running let alone running virtual end to end UK. Still a bit shell shocked tbh.
