A hilly ploddle

I usually drive to the seafront for a zero elevation, very flat ploddle along the promenade. But today I didn't fancy driving and my mojo is still iffy. I live in a hilly place and although I've run along the flattish parts of the village I've never done the 'hills' so I set off thinking ok let's just see what happens. I had Coach Bennett and his 40 min 'Bests of the Year' run with me. Well I knew I'd have to walk some, and it wasn't speedy cos even going downhill I was careful. But I did enjoy being out, and up above the village enjoying the great views, as in the pic. And I just have to share the pic of newly acquired rescue cat Gus 💕 I'm gonna do a hill workout on my next run! Happy running everyone!

Great effort tackling those hills, take it slowly and you'll soon find they become just another part of your route. After driving to the flat area you'll love the freedom of just running from home. Happy running 🤗

Those lanes look a wonderful place to run and up on the hills I imagine you get some great views. At least they are a reward for all your hard work. I love the colour of your cat her looks a character.
