Finally - the ice is gone!

We've had icy pavements here for at least 2 weeks, and I'm not as brave as some of you, so I haven't been out for a run (apart from a short spell on the gritted main street on New Year's day). I couldn't even get out on my 1 year anniversary (January 4th), and I couldn't have anticipated a year ago just how much I would miss running! Thankfully, the ice is FINALLY going (for now...), so I had a go! Still up & down the main street but I managed 4k before running out of clear pavement. I felt like a bit of a fraud, reading all your posts when I wasn't doing anything, but I feel part of the team again! Blaze has been enjoying it though 🐺😄😄❄❄.

Well done! Lucky you.... our lane was like sheet ice this morning. So much so that I had to let the pup off the lead so he didn't break my neck! It's melting though, so hopefully I'll be out there soon 🤞
