Actualy, only another 12.54 km towards my 50km total, for PC. Changed the route a bit, ran towards, and past, my mum's care home, still not able to visit, as their isolating, with another staff member having covid, and still not had their first vacine jab. π₯
Came back along the canal, not too muddy today, nice comfortable pace, even with my daughter running too! π€£
Had an idea to try 12k today, felt good, so went for it, and as always, was thinking about everyone having to isolate, and thankfull, i'm still able to get out.
Stay safe everyone! π

Over 12km , thatβs great that youβve built upto that. Iβm out tomorrow so Iβll see how much it takes out of me- donβt think Iβll be getting back to near 10k for a couple of weeks- been feeling tired - hopefully the excitement of being let out will drive me on!
Glad you'll be able to get out tomorrow, hope it hasn't taken too much out of you, i guess you'll know, once you get going. My friend had covid, quite bad, was in hospital, on oxygen, for a week, he's back running now, 5k's, 30 mins, he's 58 too, but i suppose everyones different.
That was my stepping stone to 10 miles. I had planned on doing a 14K first but, well you know, on the day I was running well and didnβt stop. As I run so slowly it wasnβt a huge increased effort.
Well done on your run today that is a fantastic distance.
Ah bless it must be so hard not being able to see you mum, I pray she is keeping well and will be able to get her vaccine soon. I was supposed to be taking my mum to have her vaccine on Wednesday but obviously unable to now. She has been told it will be another 6 weeks till she can have the vaccine, I am still waiting for mine as well.
So glad you enjoyed your run today, I canβt wait to be able to run again.
Thanks, hope your not feeling too bad, sorry your mum cant have the vacine now, my mum's care home emailed to say, another 3 residents, have covid, and more staff isolating, very frustrating, they've not had their first vacine jab yet! π₯
Wow, youβre smashing out these runs, Peter! Go go go! At this rate youβll be able to put your feet up for the last week π Brilliant work, well done.
Are you able to FaceTime mum? Must be so hard to not see other π
Great run Peter ππ»ππ» your flying through this month's target! πͺπ» I'm hoping to get out in morning but the ice is threatening to put a stop to that, possibility of some serious snow up here too so I'm just gonna see what it's like when I wake up.
Well done on your 12k. Such a worthy cause. I canβt imagine how hard it is for you and other families that cannot visit their loved ones in care homes at the moment. Fingers crossed that there vaccines get delivered soon π€π»
Thank you, I know the situation, with regards to visiting care homes, isn't great, at the moment, but i guess there's people in worse situations, at least, we've got our running, to help! πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Wow! Brilliant progress, P. I remember when you mused about the future possibility this run to your mumβs care home a few weeks ago. So sad, though, that you are unable to enter and visit.
Well done Peter44 . You are really doing well and can see that you'll smash your target, probably on your next run or two. I hope that you'll soon be able to see you mother, so keep safe.
Thank you Shuffle, did another 7k today, so five more to go, maybe get close to 100k, by end of jan! π₯΅Glad you ok, and running, just seen your post, that's not a bad idea, run on treadmill, then walk outside. πβΊ
