Woke up this morning planning to run but the weather had other ideas as there was a dusting of snow that was not looking like melting and the birdbath was ice. I'm not brave enough to run in ice and snow like some of my VRB's.
But by lunchtime there was a hint of sunshine peeping through the clouds and the roads looked reasonable so I couldn't resist. I stuck to the roads this time and did my 6k route through the next-door village and back out round the back. I only passed one person as I bumbled along. Not too much traffic although more than I expected as we're supposed to all be staying at home. But maybe they were all going somewhere important and at least they all gave me space - important on the narrow lanes round here. So lots of puddles but no slippery mud and all went well. I even managed to match my best times for a couple of segments. Can't do it when I try but when I'm not trying miracles happen π

Excellent choosing to wait out that thaw Lifluf π
Well done on your bumble today βΊ sounds a nice comfortable run, same here, with the π coming out at miday, no snow, but very icy, first thing. No run for me, just a walk along canal, but sussing out a new poss run route π€£ my non running daughter, says i'm obsessed with it! π€£Are you running 10k's still, or maybe further? π€
I've only done two 10k runs but hope to do another later this month. I'm tempted to slowly (very slowly) increase my distance this year. Trying not to put pressure on myself but still plotting new routes just in case ππ
Sounds like a good run Lifluf - despite your bumbling along! π You did the right thing to wait it out a bit. The sun appeared here as well in time for my trot out during my lunch break. It was cold but lovely out.
