Perhaps though 1st how's about consolidate those 5k runs before moving up?

By consolidate do you mean practise more? If so, definitely agree. And work on pace, as v slow right now (38:04). But ultimate aim is to do sub 1hr 10k!! :)

Exactly that I've attached the link for the consolidation club where you'll find IannodaTruffe who'll be on hand with great advice well worth listening to 👍 those are great goals just remember, Don't rush it ...

You'll have to post a msg on the badge request page on couch to 5 k and someone will be there to pin your medal on 👍.

Oh well done!!! 🥳🍾🎊🎉🎈👍🏽

You might also want to consider adding now (if you haven’t yet) strength and flexibility workouts to your weekly routine. We have a sister forum on HU just for that purpose so feel free to join that as well. Look for “Strength and Flexibility” and the following consolidation plan might be an option : healthunlocked.com/strength...

Well done, great way to start the new year. Get a few 30min or 5k runs in before you start to increase your distance. There's no rush. Don't push speed too much at the moment, it will come, the main thing is you're still a new runner so your muscles need to learn how to respond. Happy running 🤗

I got to 10k 2 and a half weeks after finishing couch to 5k. Needed consolidation the other end though 🤣

Well done

Congratulations 🎉👏Are you still smiling_took me hours to wipe the grin off my face after completing c25k.

running that I do.

I completed C25K at the end of July but didn't reach 10 k til December.I know my progress was very slow but have avoided injury so far .The advice from the experienced runners on here is brilliant and many posts very entertaining.
