I fell into this by total mistake ! I came off my motorcross bike and broke my shoulder, apparently a really nasty break and I was told it could be up to 18 months for a full recovery. I don’t like my age used against me for expected recovery. 60 this year and proud.
A friend was jogging for a charity and I joined and completed the challenge in November and signed up for a 10 km for the 23rd of this month. I don’t think it will happen but what has is I can run and I’m sure it’s helping with my shoulder recovery.
Secondly from not liking running I’m hooked. I’m using a 7 week plan and Saturday I went totally off it to see what I would cover in an hour. When I got home I wish I knew I was close to my end target of a 10km as I could have easily carried on. As long as I stay injury free the snow doesn’t come I’ll do the 10km by myself on the 23rd. I will have had to do one before hand on this plan ....
