There seems to be quite a few of us catching up with logging our miles on the various LEJOGs this evening. I had over a month of logging to do, so it's taken some time!
Although I spent much of December on the IC I could log my dog walks when I became more mobile, so that at least that kept me moving forward on the LEJOG map.
This leg of the journey has been a bit of a nostalgia trip for me. I passed near my family home in Cheshire, waving to my parents and my sister and her family as I ran. It's the closest I've been to my old home since February. At least my virtual self managed to be near them at this time of year. Further up the M6 I ran by my old uni at Lancaster and am now heading towards the Lake District where I also studied and lived for a while.
The postcard from Blackpool is a lovely touch - we used to go to Blackpool to see the illuminations for my birthday when I was little. 🥰
Ah that’s amazing Delly-dot!! ✨✨ Sounds like our home towns are very close by. I did a quick wave to my family and friends in Manchester too. I’ve not seen my Mum for almost a year now due to our restrictions.
You’ve done brilliantly and the Blackpool lights were very right to be shining brightly for you as you passed by! 🤗❤️
Well done D-d, that must have been fun, logging all those missed miles! I have so many challenges going at the moment, I know I’d be all over the shop if I didn’t log them immediately, so kudos to you for getting up straight and congratulations on your postcard! 😍
I’m currently near Glasgow on LEJOG4 - I passed my stamping ground ages ago - Bristol, and I too waved to my friends and family! 🤣
