Hi all hope everyone is well. Just need some help on getting some warmer leggings for winter evening runs. I don’t want to spend loads I’ve running with leggings from Asda which have been great. But now it’s getting colder I need warmer. Any suggestions?
Thank you

Sorry I’m of no help. I wear running shorts for my runs all through the year, even on the coldest days. But I’m sure there will be plenty of advice on its way.
On colder days - around freezing - I've been wearing Decathlon ski base layer leggings as running leggings. I think they're these ones, currently 46% off in the sale in the UK: decathlon.co.uk/p/women-s-b...
The vast majority of my running clothing comes from Lidl, frequently from their bargain box, because I am a cheapskate! However, I find it performs very well - wear it, chuck it in the washer, repeat ad infinitum. Check the sizes though as I find they come up big.
Under armour do a range called cold gear for winter thickness tops and leggings. I’ve a few of their tops and they are great. Most of my leggings are Ronhill though and I’ve never felt I need warmer ones for winter running . Good luck with the search
"It's nearly impossible to pull off an elastic Under Armor ColdGear top after sweating through it. I've seriously contemplated cutting off with a knife sometimes."
I have a long sleeved ColdGear top. It's great to wear and keeps you warm, but you really wonder how it does that when you've taken it off and find it's a soggy lump.
Highly recommend sportshoes.com. Have had a few bits of gear from them at great prices including a pair of Asics thin but fleece-lined compression tights for £19 👌🏼 *Love* them.
I 100% do NOT recommend New Balance. They messed up an order over the summer and have been promising me a refund since August.. 😕
There's some coming up in lidl on Thursday, only men's, but I am going to try them out and give to my husband if don't suit. Already got some great ones in aldi in November
I just did this too and it was perfect! I had a pair of merino wool leggings that were soft but a bit thin, so I just used an old soft baggy pair of cotton sweatpants to put over the top. I’d been browsing online for a thicker pair of running pants that would keep me warm, but I figured I surely had something in my closet already that would work.
Not at all! I was kind of worried they’d slip down (& off!) because they are meant to be loose and comfy, just elastic waist band no string to tie them tighter. They were just a pair I’d had for years that I wear around the house in winter.
Oh dear I just realized that my term “running pants” isn’t a term y’all would use over there is it?? Haha, sorry, American here. 😂😂. I don’t know the right word, they’re loose fitting exercise clothes, but I guess “pants” means something else to you doesn’t it! 😂. I didn’t run around my neighborhood in baggy underwear I swear!!! 🤣 We also say “sweats”, you said “joggers”, I guess that’s the word I should’ve used? I thought “joggers” were shoes. 😊
