Very short run

Well I went out this morning with much enthusiasm only to be stopped short as the roads were sheet ice. I ran for just over one k and then decided it was too dangerous to continue and came back defeated 😢I really hope that this is not an indication of my runs to come🥺🥺🥺🥺

You were NOT defeated, you were very sensible on not continuing with your run, the reason for the very icy conditions is because the snow partially melted, it rained a little then everything refroze leaving the place more suited to ice skating, certainly not for walks or runs.

Completely agree with AlMorr. It's not worth the risk to run on ice. An accident will hold you back for much longer. Happy New Year Scruff55 and may you enjoy your running on a safer surface.

Being cautious is not being defeated its what will keep us all running longer. The pavements, untreated roads and even the previously muddy foot paths are absolutely lethal round me this morning ☹️Happy running another day x

Yes everywhere I tried to run was icy so I suppose giving up was the safest thing to do 🙃🙃
