Taking a run, on the spot, around New York City

So tonight, me and the Mrs ran together for the very first time. Well, sort of.

She got a FitBit for Christmas so trying to get her 10,000 steps in each day, and I'm trying to complete 300,000 steps by the end of the year, so tonight we decided to encourage each other to our goals by finding a virtual run around NYC on YouTube and run together, enjoying the holiday we didn't go on.

It's supposed to be designed to keep you entertained while running on a treadmill, but we don't own one, so we just spent 30minutes running on the spot in our front room.... While we continued to drink beer and eat cheese and crackers. Well, it is Christmas 🤣

Garmin tells me I clocked up 3.5Km in the half hour, which is pretty slow for me, but considering I didn't leave the lounge, is possibly quite impressive.

It was a laugh, and as childcare challenges mean running together isn't really a possibility it was nice to do it together. And certainly a pleasant break from the usual Christmas entertainment of stuffing our faces with chocolate as we slob out on the sofa watching a film (we did do that after mind) 🤣

Ha ha! what a great idea and so much better than just flopping in front of the telly!

Today I was waiting for the coffee to brew and jogged up and down the kitchen (it's only a few paces)
