Egg and Chip Day 2020

My 25th Dec (traditionally known as Egg and Chip Day here) consisted of a 5km run, steering a full length historic narrow boat through locks, a plate full of egg and chips, and After Eights πŸ˜€

A thoroughly enjoyable day, with plenty of smiley people out along the towpath in the fresh air.

OK, so it’s the only run I’ve done this month, and I’ve only reached 1/4 of my yearly mileage goal this year, but I’m still getting out there occasionally and hope to do more running next year. I was gifted a FitBit Inspire HR for my birthday, so I can now have a go at running by heart rate.

Best wishes for a happy and healthy new year VRBs. πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ

That looks nice. Hope it won't be too much longer before can meet and run (and breakfast) together again

Chips and egg?

"Hello Wall."

(Having the main character address the fourth wall directly was a brilliant play-writing technique from Willy Russell.)

PS. The film is on Channel 5 on Wednesday afternoon.

I've really enjoyed running based on HR, once I changed my settings to % heart rate reserve instead of %max HR. I'm finding it easier to run slower with a lower HR than I did last month when I first got my FR245. It is nice to have something other than pace to focus on.

Here's hoping 2021 is a better year!
