I am so delighted to tell you that today I ran my first ever 10KM 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅and it felt soooo amazing and today I really do feel like a runner!!🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️
I would like to thank you all for all you support and advice, I have learnt lots from you all❤️💙❤️💙. I am glad to tell you that I listened to your advice and ran a lot slower and enjoyed the run so much I was actually singing along to my music 🎵🎵🎵 (hopefully no one could hear me!!) at one point!!!
It was a beautiful day cold to start with but lovely and 😎 😎😎 and it felt such a joy to be running🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️. I felt I was pacing the run well. I knew 3 times and a bit around Battersea Park is 9k (I know the tree which marks 9k!! after my last two 9km!!) so I estimated I needed to run three and a quarter times round the park. I took it slow for the 3 lapse and decided I wanted to incorporate the long path near the bandstand where I used to run when doing C25K into this run to make it extra special. Well the strangest thing happened. I ran 3 laps round the park up to the path where I used to run and thought I would have run over 9km at this point then I could run up and down the path and reflect on my running journey so far so I glanced at my watch and it had only registered 7.54km. I was really shocked as I thought I was nearly finished my run. I didn’t understand what had happened I had already run 3 and a bit times round the park. Well there was no way I was not going to have 10km registered for this run and not complete my 10km for Christmas so I continued running, ran twice up and down the long path past the bandstand back near to where I started my run and was delighted to have completed my first 10km on Christmas Eve. My Fitbit hasn’t tracked my route so I can’t see if it tracked my run from where I started. Anyway I am so proud of myself for running 10km which is what I wanted to achieve for Christmas. My time logged was 1 hour and 16 minutes which I feel pleased with and it did feel great running at a slower place.
I still have my 4km and 5km to finish complete the plan.
I am so happy to be getting my Graduate10 medal for Christmas 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a much happier New Year filled with lots of happiness and running!!!

I know how much you’ve wanted this and also how much you didn’t think it was possible. Well, we knew it was! I’m so pleased for you. Perhaps now you will believe 😊
Congratulations, thats great news, and a nice early christmas present! Oh, and also, well down, you have slowed down a bit, as your 9k times were 🥵 actualy i did another 10k yesterday, in 80 mins, faster for me, i'm usualy pretty slow 🐌 and your time is only a bit faster. Your last 2 shorter runs, will now be alot more comfortable, knowing you've done the 10k!Anyway, hope you have a nice christmas 🎄🎅🎄
It was not too bad as I went in the morning but yes lots of runners out.
You can do it, honestly I never thought I would be able to but with the support of the other runners and ju-ju’s magic plan I did and you will be able to as well.
Fantastic Runner Rebecca! What a star you are and how amazing to have completed 10K!!! I think I know your pace from your previous posts and if I had to guess, I think you’ve done far more than 10K in 1hr 16mins, even though that’s a great pace anyway. Well done 😀I really hope to complete my first 10K by the end of 2020, but am on a course of antibiotics for a week so not feeling 100%. Did my 2 shorter runs this week so just the 10K left.
Fantastic! 👏👏👏👏 What a great Christmas present to yourself, and well done for keeping going when you thought you'd nearly finished and were only at 7.54k, I know that feeling! 😲 Have a fabulous Christmas and lots more running 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️, go girl!!! 🥂
Happy Christmas! Excellent job, hope your not aching too much today! My Fitbit when it does not connect to gps is so much slower. Yest. Fitbit said 3.5 k but Strava 5k, so you probably did over 10k. Well done! 🏃🍾
