-3c, Glorious morning ☀️. ❄️❄️🌈🌈 and an icing sugar dusting of snow . All set for run but too icy, so dog got an early romp on the beach .

I was so ready for a Christmas Eve run , got up early , 30 min warm up session done, awash with hydration 😂, but even the ice on our drive was lethal ⛸🥌⛸.

So a quick change and a defrost of the car and we were off to the beach .

Dog not initially impressed , it was Baltic 🥶🥶 however there was a gang of crows on the beach who had found something tasty , reluctant to move so Cooper got to chase them for ages 😂😂😂 They were enjoying it I think , one crow kept sidling up to him to ‘take him on’ 😂

Even the sand was frozen and crunchy , it was a great walk sunshine, a dusting of snow on the hills behind the villages and a rainbow too 🌈🌈🤷🏼‍♀️.

As we drove back an hour later the ice was letting up and I passed a few runners setting out , lovely to see kids and parents out running together 😀🏃🏻‍♀️

So maybe I’ll get out later , I had a notion to just get out and see where it took me , no agenda , no thinking about distance or pace just keep going .

Glad I went to the beach instead though ☀️🎄☀️

Thought I’d share the photos anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️, suspect it’ll be dark if and when I do get out 😂
