Well that was a very wet, soggy run, and I almost thought about aborting! π€£ first kilometer, heavens opened, i was soaked, contemplated just doing the harry potter loop, then back home for a dry shirt π€ then carry on, but decided to carry on, and the rain didnt really stop, the whole run π€£ probably the wetest run i've done, was always quite lucky during c25k, only a few damp runs. It's funny really, as i think the rain, made me run a bit faster, i think i did 5k, in 39.20 mins, quite fast for me! Anyway onto the canal, not the best idea really, some very big puddles, almost lost my shoe, at one point π€£ infact in places, would have been easier swimming π¦π¦get to about 7k, legs feel ok, actualy, i think all the rain, avoiding puddles, keeping my earphones in, kept falling out, as my ears were getting so wet, took my mind of any feeling of being tired! Good job my daughter didnt run with me, she was worried about her eyelashes! π€£ anyway, kept going a bit further along canal than usual, wanted to test distance for a 10k, rather than doubling back. I'm so glad i stuck with it, heard about bambi, having to isolate over xmas, and another friend of mine, got covid, just never know what's going to happen!
Anyway, i ran today, so i can run christmas day, weather looks good for down here π i picked up our xmas dinner, from m+s this afternoon, prebooked, time slot, so was able to jump the queue, by the way, i'd showered and changed, run for your life! π€£
Well i hope the new restrictions with tier 4, doesnt spoil everyones xmas, too much, maybe next year, we'll be back to normal, happy running!!!
Ps, cant add my stats, did 10.05k, 80.27 mins, average pace 8.00/km!
