So after a month of seemingly going backwards or maybe just try hard to hang on in there when life gets in the way, I finally had run that I enjoyed.
I have not been running in 10 days and the runs and walk/runs I did prior to that were not very satisfying. My mojo was nowhere to be seen. My knees didn’t like it when I attempted a speed challenge, then work went crazy (again) and took over for a bit - problems are UK ports adding massively to workload whilst we out contingency plans in place (and that was before the French blocked the border). By the time it came to finishes work for the year my body was starting to feel very tired and worn down. So I did nothing for 10 days. It worked - I feel much better but boy was this morning 5k hard work. I had to do 5 k to prove to myself that was still possible but I didn’t care about pace. Went to the lake as I wanted to see the bird life and enjoy the scenery- there were swans, moor hens, mallards oh and a running teenage T-Rex 🦖 - he ran like he meant business (I hope he raises lots for his chosen charity). Happy Christmas running everyone- mine is going to restorative and I can’t wait to get out there again 😁🤶🏻🎄🏃♀️

Brilliant Sgr, so good to hear you hung in there and enjoyed your running again, its certainly not easy with so much going on and a very busy work schedule. I really hope you enjoy your restorative runs and you rediscover your running mojo. Happy Christmas 🎄🤗
Sounds as it you’re having a frantic time at work Sloth, it’s probably not surprising your body was complaining a bit! But you did it! Have a super restorative Christmas - sleep all the way through it if you can!
