Yaay week seven completed! This was my final run of the week and for once I was not feeling exhausted!! I decided to change route today as could see it was going to rain and didn’t want to get too wet and cold as I am getting over a bit of cold. I ran locally and up to the Common and back. I had no watch issues!! I decided to take this nice and steady and slow. It was an enjoyable run and I did not get too wet. I was trying to focus on keeping it slow but did not manage negative splits but that is fine it was good practice at slowing it down and I must say it did feel a lot more relaxed. My time was 31:13 and my splits were 6:08, 6:12, 6:09, 6:09 and 6:14 and I did not try to speed up on the final km. I only needed to run 4K today but I was really enjoying this when I looked at my watch I had run 4.36km so I decided to continue to 5km. So that is my week Seven completed. I am looking forward to running into week eight!
Happy Running

Great changing-it-about strategy Rebecca 👍👍, and the slowing it all down is definitely Soooo nice, you really realize how good running is when you're not going hell for leather against the clock trying for A PB..... And weirdly after a few nice relaxed slow runs, that quicker run next time out is easier and you'll feel able to get a few more klms out of your pins 🤗
👍 hopefully I'm going to sneak a run tomorrow 🤞🤞🙏 tonight's shift is night no.7 so we'll see how the fuel tanks are for energy............. And tomorrow's kinda our chrimble day thing as I'm on shift on Christmas day night and Mrs Wife's working Christmas day late afternoon 🙄👀
Excellent progress...can I ask you what running app you use? I've been using map myrun but tried Strava today for a 5.5 km but it doesn't tell you how far you've gone or split pace, regularly during run? Wasn't impressed. Ps I got soaked 😬
Well done, Rebecca that’s a great run. And a bonus km as well! I could never run 5k at that pace, I wouldn’t even try 😬 for you that might be slow! You’ve got the strength to realise you can run in different ways and don’t always have to run negative splits or a faster last kilometre, or even a fast run. Every run is different; you are listening to your body and showing maturity as a runner!
You’re doing amazingly well on this plan and now you have that 10k in your sights! I hope you are excited to start Week 8! The final countdown 😃 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️👏👏👏
Well done, sounds a nice comfortable run, and you slowed down! 🤣 blimey, dont think i'll ever run at that pace 🥵I think you'll smash your way to that 10k! 😀
Great running there. It's nice to not worry about the tech and to slow it up a bit sometimes but that does make me laugh. Your slow pace is still way faster than anything I could hope for. And your splits are still pretty decent.Well done. You are amazing it! That 10k is yours for the taking
